We had a great event to mark the topping out of Free Wharf Phase Two, Shoreham-by-Sea recently.

To mark the occasion, representatives from Southern Housing and HG Construction were joined at the site by MP Tom Rutland, Councillor Jeremy Gardner, Leader of Adur District Council, and Councillor Lee Cowen, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Housing and Citizen Services. Guests enjoyed a tour of the site before making their way to the roof for the ceremony.

The first Phase of the project, known as ‘Free Wharf Twenty-One,’ comprises 137 apartments designed for affordable housing. Phase Two will comprise an additional 145 apartments, featuring a mix of rented and shared ownership tenures. Completion of the third and final phase will bring the total to 587 homes.

HG Construction is self-delivering key elements of this scheme including RC concrete frame, prefabricated bathroom pods and utility cupboards, securing quality and programme benefits for the client.
