Trocoll House, Barking

Status: Current
Category: Residential
Value: £63M
Client: Fifth Capital

Trocoll House is a landmark 31‑storey residential tower for Fifth Capital which will create a new gateway to Barking town centre. The scheme will provide 198 high‑quality apartments of which are 100% affordable housing, supported by resident amenity space and ground‑floor commercial space including a Coffee Hub & a JD Wetherspoons pub.

The project required extensive enabling works including an innovative sleeving CFA piling solution. Located adjacent to the operational railway, continuous coordination with Network Rail is required throughout.

A highly engineered construction strategy has been developed to manage the tight urban environment, including a deep basement formation and a carefully sequenced craneage plan to accommodate the building’s height and profile.

Trocoll House will deliver significant regeneration benefits, providing new homes, active ground‑floor uses and improved public realm in a prominent town‑centre location.
