🎉 A fantastic turnout this week as we celebrated the Topping Out Ceremony for Trocoll House, Barking. A landmark 30-storey development that will deliver 198 affordable homes adjacent to Barking Station, and a significant addition to our growing Public Sector and Affordable Housing portfolio.

Given the scale of the scheme and the number of stakeholders involved, this was one of our largest Topping Out gatherings, with over 60 guests joining us. Guests toured almost-complete one and two-bedroom apartments, where Cllr Dominic Twomey from the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham joined the presentation of the ceremonial trowel before project partners headed up for speeches and photography.

Celebrations continued on Level 6 with an Essex hog roast, vegetarian paella, and refreshments served from a striking mirrored silver Airstream caravan — even that had its own lifting plan to reach the sixth floor!

As one guest put it afterwards, the day was “a credit to HG and especially the site team”. A huge thank you to our client Fifth Capital Group, Railpen, employer’s agent Silver DCC and all the partners and stakeholders helping deliver this important scheme for the Barking community.
