We reached an important milestone at our New Kent Road site in Southwark last week, where we congregated with our client Southern Housing and project partners to officially celebrate the topping out of the scheme.
This exciting new development, in partnership with Mayor of London and Southwark Council will deliver 81 new homes. Councillor Helen Dennis, Cabinet Member for New Homes and Sustainable Development, joined Southern Housing CEO, Paul Hackett CBE to place the final brick on the 13th floor of the building. Guests enjoyed stunning views across London, as well as a guided tour of the site.
Paul Hackett, CEO, Southern Housing said: “The site will provide 81 much needed new homes in the area with 50% being affordable, there will be nine wheelchair accessible homes and the entire development will be car free apart from the blue badge parking spaces on the forecourt. It’s a 7-minute walk away from Elephant & Castle underground station and just south of the Elephant Park regeneration area being developed, which will provide a new vibrant community and various local amenities which residents will benefit from.”
Well done to the project team for their outstanding work on this scheme to date!
