55 West is a 100% affordable housing scheme for MTVH, delivering 144 new homes directly above West Ealing Station. The development comprises two buildings of 18 and 12 storeys with ground‑floor amenity and commercial space, forming a new landmark at the junction of Manor Road and Drayton Green Road.

The scheme features a complex brick façade with SFS infill and punch windows. HG is self‑delivering the piling, concrete frame, drylining, bathroom pods, utility cupboards and M&E services to secure programme and quality benefits.

With the build occupying 95% of the site, logistics are a major challenge. The tower crane is positioned on top of the structure due to limited space, supported by detailed engineering and sequencing. Oversail licences with Network Rail and Highways required early engagement, robust planning and continuous coordination to maintain safe operations above the live station environment.

This is our second project with MTVH, and the team continues to work collaboratively with the client and key stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, affordable homes for the local community.
