HG’s first project for PLATFORM_, Bank House is a landmark build‑to‑rent scheme in the heart of Milton Keynes, located close to the central train station.
The 20‑storey development will provide 355 high‑quality homes, including a mix of market BTR and affordable units, supported by extensive amenities and landscaped terrace space.
The development incorporates flexible ground and upper‑ground floor commercial areas suitable for retail, café/restaurant or co‑working uses. The build comprises an RC frame, predominantly brickwork façade and selected areas of rainscreen cladding and GRC, with curtain walling to the commercial frontages. Prefabricated bathroom and utility pods will support programme efficiency.
A key delivery challenge is the constrained site, which initially allows for only a single tower crane. HG is progressing a strategy to introduce two cranes positioned on the completed slip‑formed cores to maintain programme certainty.
