A redevelopment of the previous Network Rail Arches, this impressive project created 412 studio rooms and cluster flats. The development comprised four towers located in two main blocks, East and West, which were connected by a four-storey linking structure. The scope further included a one-storey bicycle storage area, communal areas, study areas and a gym within the East Block.
A logistically challenging project, the site was situated inbetween railway lines and bordering Regent’s Canal and residential properties in Bradwell Street and Longnor Road. Storage and access were both extremely limited necessitating precision planning and the co-ordination of deliveries on a just-in-time basis. The superstructure consisted of an RC frame with a facade comprising perforated cladding panels and black brickwork.
