Chiswick High Road will deliver a new build and refurbishment residential scheme in the heart of the busy Chiswick retail district for client CHR Ltd. The scheme designed by Assael Architecture includes 138 units across four blocks providing affordable housing and private, and includes four townhouses.

The new build element comprises two separate concrete frame multi-storey blocks spanning seven and five storeys respectively, with brickwork and a Portland wetcast stone facade. In parallel, the existing ten storey tower will undertake extensive steel strengthening works to the frame ahead of vertical extension to twelve floors. Externally, the structure will be finished in lightweight rainscreen cladding.

An extremely logistically challenging scheme, the plot is located across major live service installations, necessitating numerous buildover agreements and drain diversions, in addition to multiple party wall awards.
