HG’s Commerce Road scheme on behalf of client Legal & General Affordable Homes, comprises the demolition and partial façade retention of an existing building in parallel to the design and build of 76 new residential units. The housing allocation is a mixture of shared and affordable rent for the local Brentford community.

Spanning six floors, the  development includes a commercial office suite unit below and ground floor car parking.

The construction is piled foundations with a concrete frame, brickwork façade and flat roofs with off-site bathroom pods and utility cupboards. Retention of the existing façade is a key challenge, ensuring protection and stability as the build is erected in parallel.
