HG’s residential-led mixed-use scheme for client QDD at East Village, the former London 2012 Athletes’ Village, is a key element of the London East Village Masterplan. Building No5 provides an affordable housing development with retail and community facilities. The plot also includes public open space incorporating a substantial Neighbourhood Equipped Area of Play (NEAP).

Spanning 69,000 ft² internal floorspace, the singular structure comprises 48 one – three bedroom residential apartments across six upper floors, with community space and a retail unit at the ground floor.

Constructed with a concrete frame, the building footprint is a triangular wedge shape with high-specification design including a brick-clad façade incorporating Portland stone banding at each level, and cantilever balconies. Off-site prefabricated bathroom pods and in-house utility cupboards are being installed to each apartment.
