The Tunbridge Wells retirement village scheme is HG’s second development for client Elysian Residences, in a joint venture with Octopus Real Estate.
Located close to the town centre, the new urban retirement village comprises three luxury apartment buildings. Spanning six, four and three stories in height, the structures collectively provide 89 high quality apartments.
Resident facilities include a lounge and library, restaurant and bar, function room, guest suite, gym and treatment rooms, in addition to landscaped communal gardens.
The construction is both concrete frames and traditional build, with precast floors and stairs. Internally, off-site solutions include bathroom and utility pods, with HG M&E delivering the full services package. The contemporary design includes floor to ceiling windows and bolt on balconies.
The site sits prominently on the main road and in close proximity to residents and a nursery. Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement is being enforced by the HG team to ensure maximum safety and minimal disruption to the local community.
