The Ilderton Road scheme in Southwark will deliver modern, new student and residential accommodation in the heart of Southwark for client Tribe Student Housing.  Spanning two separate buildings, the scope comprises a part 15 and part 13 storey structure alongside a part 13 and part 11 storey.

The student block will provide 250 accommodation units alongside 58 shared ownership and rented homes in the residential block. The scheme will further deliver an allocation of 1500 sqm commercial space at ground and first floor levels, and a basement.

The specification is traditional concrete frame construction with a brick, brick-clad and rainscreen cladded facade. Off-site prefabricated solutions include bathroom pods for both structures and utility pods for the residential units.

A logistically challenging scheme, the site sits three feet away from live operational railway lines, necessitating extensive temporary works and proactive engagement with Network Rail.
