HG’s Northern Gateway scheme in Colchester for Turnstone Estates will deliver a new modern leisure complex to the town. The scope comprises a Cineworld, Hollywood Bowl and 90-bedroom Travelodge in addition to restaurants, a drive-thru and facilities including a trampoline park. The development will include a prefabricated steel and precast 2 storey car park, external landscaping and pedestrian access routes.

The leisure buildings have been designed with steel frames and cladding in parallel to an RC Frame and cladding for the hotel. Internally, the team are installing off-site bathroom pods to the hotel and full fit out services.  Ground improvement and piling has been carried out by Symbiotic and Foundation Piling.
