The stunning Southworks building for client Middlecap is a high-specification 7-storey sustainable development creating 70,000sqft of modern state-of-the-art office space including terraces on the rooftop and levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Inspired by a warehouse aesthetic in keeping with the local industrial legacy, the building comprised several high-quality design details including board-mark exposed concrete and services, large industrial windows and curved bricks. Custom-made glass bricks were created to form a unique illuminated façade to the front entrance.

A sustainable and technology driven scheme, Southworks was the first UK building to achieve Platinum Smart Building Certification in parallel to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and a WiredScore designed to achieve Gold.
