Varcoe Road was another impressive scheme on behalf of long-standing client Pocket Living. A mix of residential and commercial, the scope comprised 57 one-bedroom units for the affordable housing market.
Spread across 7 floors, the units were developed following Pocket standards to create compact affordable homes offering high quality living accommodation accessible to first time buyers. The development provided a lobby area, co-working space, sunroom, ample bike storage and two landscaped, part-covered roof terraces for resident use. At street level, a further 227.5sqm of space was created for B1 commercial use.
The construction comprised both traditional and modern solutions including a concrete frame, steel framing system (SFS) with a brick façade and off-site bathroom pods.
