Works are progressing well at our affordable housing scheme at Castle Lane for our client Landsec, involving the refurbishment, alteration and an extension to the North, South, Alexandra and Mews Buildings at 2-4 Castle Lane.

Internal alterations to all blocks are now complete including a new steel structure and flooring, with drylining due to commence shortly. Brickwork cleaning has been completed and the restoration works are ongoing. All sub structure works are also complete, and the installation of new sprinkler tanks is ongoing.

New windows have been installed to three of the blocks and fit out works have commenced on the North block. Over the next few weeks, we will be commencing fit-out of the remaining Alexandra, South and Mews blocks.

The sensitive restoration of the Victorian façades has been central to this project, ensuring that the development remains in keeping with the heritage of the local conservation area. When complete, the affordable housing development will provide 88 new one, two and three bedroom homes.
