The arrival of our tower crane at our London Road site signals a new phase in the construction journey.

This stylish Brighton-based scheme for our client McLaren Property will deliver student accommodation with 156 beds, as well as two large external student courtyards and ground floor communal space. The design also includes circa. 5,000 square foot of retail space on the London Road frontage.

Works to date have included the demolition of existing retail stores and piling. With the crane now on site work has commenced on the concrete frame. Poratherm will be used on the external skin of the building – a precision engineered modern clay block walling system with high strength and thermal efficiency properties.

This is HG Construction’s fourth scheme in the Brighton area – we completed a student accommodation scheme for McLaren Property at Moulsecoomb Way last year and we are currently working on schemes at Lewes Road and Shoreham by Sea. We are working closely with our neighbours at London Road to ensure disruption is minimised throughout the scheme’s construction.
