It was a pleasure to meet with Letchworth Foodbank’s CEO Peter McMeekin to present the charity with a £12,000 donation from HG Construction.

Letchworth Foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. The charity is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Letchworth Foodbank helped over 5,500 people in 2022 and demand has continued to be exceptionally high in 2023. With many families and individuals struggling to cope with the cost of living, this donation will help the charity to continue to provide vital support to those who need it most.
