Full marks for our Hammersmith project team, who have recently been awarded 45/45 for the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CSS). Well done to Carl Murrells, Laurent Crevel, Laura Hutchinson, Ross Bennett and Lorraine Dawe for the excellent team effort involved in achieving this.

The CSS scheme is a comprehensive measure of how contractors respect the community, care for the environment and value their workforce. Our Hammersmith project ticked the boxes across these three areas. On the community side we are committed to positive community involvement, regular newsletters, monthly progress meetings with residents, well maintained site hoardings and signage. We have also proactively looked to source local labour by advertising on local job boards.

Workforce engagement on the site is excellent and has included work activity boards and regular coordination meetings. We also achieved a saving of around 300 lorry movements by reusing the demolition waste for piling material and haul roads.

We are committed to making a positive impact on the communities where we operate and will continue to work hard to ensure we maintain high standards across all our sites.
