It’s a pleasure to share recent drone shots of the impressive Northern Gateway Leisure scheme in Colchester, with the site really starting to take shape.

This 200,000 sq ft leisure scheme for our client Turnstone Estates is located south of Junction 28 of the A12. It comprises a 12-screen Cineworld, seven restaurants, two drive-thru restaurants (Greggs and Wendy’s), a 90 bed Travelodge hotel, Hollywood Bowl bowling alley, Puttstars indoor golf centre and a Jump Street climbing centre, as well as high-quality landscaped piazza, parking for 750 cars and a rapid charge electric vehicle charging station.

The RC frame on the Travel Lodge Hotel is progressing well; steel frames have been erected for the drive-thru restaurants with masonry work ongoing; and the cinema and leisure substructures are also underway. A great team effort to date and we look forward to sharing more updates along the construction journey!
