We recently welcomed a group of students from The Skills Centre to two of our sites, providing them with detailed site tours and talks about the sector. The site visits form a key part of the Skills Centre’s Pre-employment course which HG Construction is sponsoring.

It was a pleasure to give the students a behind-the-scenes tour of our Ilderton Road and Old Kent Road sites, showcasing two major schemes at varying stages of construction and giving them an insight into key aspects of the build process.

Thanks to Ollie Sheehy who delivered an insightful and engaging presentation which provided the students with a comprehensive understanding of the wide variety of roles available within the construction sector.

Working with the Skills Centre is an important part of our commitment to helping develop and support future talent in the sector. We received very positive feedback about the site visits and we hope we have informed and inspired the students as they consider their future career choices!
