We were joined by Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development, Tom Copley for our recent topping out ceremony at Glengall Road, Southwark.
This exciting new development for Southern Housing in partnership with Mayor of London will deliver 170 homes (154 for affordable and 16 for open-market sale).
Together with Southern Housing’s CEO Paul Hackett, Mr Copley poured the final section of cement on the sixth floor of the building, marking the latest milestone in the construction of the site.
Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development Tom Copley said: “I’m extremely pleased that this partnership between the Mayor of London, Southern Housing and HG Construction is set to deliver 170 new homes – 90 per cent of which will be genuinely affordable – in Southwark. This impressive new development builds on City Hall’s progress of delivering record levels of affordable housebuilding across the capital and will ensure that more Londoners can benefit from high-quality, affordable homes – helping to build a better London for everyone.”
